Coloured External Water-Based Basecoat - Vernites EcoPur Fond WEB889 Primer 2K

Vernites WEB889 EcoPur Fond is a professional high-build 2-component (2K) water-based primer/basecoat developed for exterior wood finishing and demanding joinery applications.

It provides excellent coverage, filling properties and adhesion while creating a smooth, durable base for subsequent exterior topcoats. Its fast-drying and thixotropic formulation makes WEB889 particularly suitable for professional exterior joinery and high-performance coating systems.

Mixing and Application:

WEB889 is a bi-component product and requires the addition of hardener.

Hardener
Add 10% CW7500 hardener (sold separately).

Thinning
If required, thin with approximately 10–20% water to achieve the desired application viscosity. The amount of water required may vary depending on the application method, equipment and working conditions.

Application Methods

For best results and professional production applications, spray application is recommended, including conventional spray gun, Airless and Airmix systems.

WEB889 is also commonly applied by brush or roller for on-site renovation, refurbishment and smaller joinery projects, where spray application may not be practical.

Application viscosity and thinning may need to be adjusted depending on the chosen application method.
